Here are the Controls For Your New SYRYN:

Left Arrow: Press 1x to decrease volume, Press 2x for previous track, Hold to rewind.

Play/Pause: Press 1x to start & stop, Press 2x to toggle shuffle, Hold to turn SYRYN on/off.

Your Syryn may need to be charged before it’s first use. Plug your Syryn into your computer or wall adapter with the black USB charging cable that’s included.

Your Syryn will show a flashing light while it’s charging, and will show a solid light when it’s fully charged.

Please be careful not to charge your Syryn for more than 3 hours since prolonged time on the charger can cause damage to the battery.

PC: Step 1
Connect Your SYRYN

Plug your SYRYN into a USB port on your computer.

PC: Step 2

Select Your SYRYN

 

Locate your SYRYN in the File Explorer. Do this by clicking on “This PC” in the left bar of Windows File Explorer.

 

The SYRYN will be listed under USB devices. Your computer will probably only recognize the SYRYN as something generic like “USB” or “USB Drive”. In the office, our computers see the SYRYN as USB Drive (E:).

PC: Step 3

Choose Your Tracks

 

In a separate window, open a music folder or iTunes playlist.

PC: Step 4

Drag & Drop Your Files

 

Highlight all of your files, then click and drag them onto your SYRYN.


It is important that you drag only your audio files directly into the SYRYN. Do not drag folders onto the SYRYN or else your files will not be recognized.

 

The SYRYN is compatible with AAC, MP3, and WMA files.

Eject Before You Disconnect

 

Right click on the SYRYN within the File Explorer (Remember, it may be a generic name like “USB Drive (E:)” ) and click Eject. Ejecting your SYRYN before unplugging will prevent any file corruption.

Disconnect & Test

 

After the computer prompts you that it is safe to remove your SYRYN, unplug the USB cord from the computer.

 

To test that your music transfer has been successful before going to the pool, plug in a pair of headphones and press PLAY. If you hear music, congrats! You are ready to swim with your SYRYN.

 

Hold the PLAY button for 3 seconds to turn your SYRYN off.

Common Mistakes on using SYRYN

The Most Common Mistakes Users Make:

Please only use the charging cable that is included with your Syryn. Other cables may look similar but will not work to charge or sync your Syryn. Use of other charging cables can damage the Syryn.

 

The second most common mistake is using files that are not supported. Syryn doesn’t support any music from premium subscription services. The most common sources of music includes music purchased from iTunes or music imported from CD’s.

Here’s How To Reset Your Syryn:

To "Reset" the SYRYN, unplug it, press and hold the Play/Pause button for at least 10 seconds, then plug it back in.

 

If that does not work, try again but this time for 30 seconds. So you will unplug, hold pause/play for 30 seconds, and plug in again.

 

Then, try restarting your computer and do the 30-second restart one more time. The 30 second reset can take up to three tries to work!

            1. 1. Pull up your device in the Finder. Do this by clicking on the Finder App. The SYRYN will be listed under the “Devices” tab.

    4. 3. Scroll down in the Utilities menu and click on “Disk Utility”.

    6. 4. The Disk Utilities menu will pop up. Click on your SYRYN player listed under the external devices.
    7.  
    8. 5. Click on the “Erase” option.

    10. ​6. Re-enter the name of your device; SYRYN, and proceed to change the Format to MS-DOS (FAT) and change the scheme from "GUID Partition Map" to "Master Boot Record". This is crucial as the device will be damaged with any other file.

    12. ​7. Click "Erase." It may take a few moments to finish, but then you can click "Done."

    13. ​8. After restoring your SYRYN to factory settings, check again if your SYRYN will charge by plugging the SYRYN into different USB ports.
