SYRYN 2 Help Guide

First we will cover basic controls and wear instructions, then we will walk through adding music to your SYRYN 2 step by step. Use the buttons below to jump directly to different sections.





Buttons

There are 5 on your SYRYN 2

SYRYN 2 Controls

Left Arrow

Press for previous track

Hold to rewind

Play/Pause

Press 1x to start & stop

Press 2x to toggle shuffle

Hold to turn SYRYN 2 on/off

Right Arrow

Press for next track

Hold to fast forward

Playback Indicators

Ordered: Quick blinking light

Shuffled: Slow blinking light

Paused: Solid light

Low Battery: Very quick, continuous blinking light while unplugged

Charging Indicators

Charging: Very quick blinking light while plugged in

Charged: Solid light while plugged in


Wear Tips

  • Put on your goggles.
  • Clip your SYRYN 2 to the back of your goggle's strap.
  • Put in your Swimbuds headphones, making sure to run the headphone cables underneath your goggle's strap on both sides.
  • Plug your headphones into your SYRYN 2 and press the PLAY button!

Care Tips

Rinse and Dry

- After each swim, turn off the SYRYN 2 and remove the headphones from the headphone jack.

- Using fresh water, rinse off the SYRYN 2, including the inside of the headphone jack, as well as the headphones. This will help get any chlorine or salt off.

- Gently shake the water out of the headphone jack.

- Lightly pat dry the SYRYN 2 and headphones. Let them air-dry for at least 12 hours.

Charging

- Allow the SYRYN 2 to fully dry before charging.

- Only charge as needed, and only for 3-4 hours maximum.




Put Music On Your SYRYN 2

We make first-time setup easy. Simply select MAC or PC below to get started.





PC: Step 1

Connect Your SYRYN 2

Plug your SYRYN 2 into a USB port on your computer.

PC: Step 2

Select Your SYRYN 2

Locate your SYRYN 2 in the File Explorer. Do this by clicking on “This PC” in the left bar of Windows File Explorer.

To open File Explorer, you can click on the file icon on the bottom of your screen, or you can hold the Windows key on your keyboard and press the letter E.

The SYRYN 2 will be listed under USB devices. Your computer will probably only recognize the SYRYN 2 as something like SYRYN 2 as USB Drive (E:).

PC: Step 3

Choose Your Tracks

In a separate window, open a music folder or iTunes playlist.

PC: Step 4

Drag & Drop Your Files

Highlight all of your files, then click and drag them onto your SYRYN 2.

You can also copy and paste your files onto the SYRYN 2. Highlight all of your files, then hold the CTRL key on your keyboard and press the letter C. Next, click inside of your SYRYN 2 window and hold the CTRL key and press the letter V.

(Tip: It is important that you drag only your audio files directly into the SYRYN 2. Do not drag folders onto the SYRYN 2 or else your files will not be recognized.)

The SYRYN 2 is compatible with AAC, MP3, and WMA files.

PC: Step 5

Eject Before You Disconnect

Right click on the SYRYN 2 within the File Explorer (Remember, it may be a generic name like “USB Drive (E:)” ) and click Eject. Ejecting your SYRYN 2 before unplugging will prevent any file corruption.

PC: Step 6

Disconnect & Test

After the computer prompts you that it is safe to remove your SYRYN 2, unplug the USB cord from the computer.

To test that your music transfer has been successful before going to the pool, plug in a pair of headphones and press PLAY. If you hear music, congrats! You are ready to swim with your SYRYN 2.

Hold the PLAY button for 3 seconds to turn your SYRYN 2 off.



MAC: Step 1

Connect Your SYRYN 2

Plug your SYRYN 2 into a USB port on your computer.

MAC: Step 2

Select Your SYRYN 2

Open the Finder App and select your SYRYN 2. The SYRYN 2 will be listed under the “Devices” or "Locations" section in the left column.

MAC: Step 3

Choose Your Tracks

Open a separate Folder of your music, or your desired iTunes playlist.

MAC: Step 4

Drag & Drop Your Files

Highlight all of your files, then click and drag them onto your SYRYN 2.

You can also copy and paste your files onto the SYRYN 2. Highlight all of your files, then hold the Command key on your keyboard and press the letter C. Next, click inside of your SYRYN 2 window and hold the Command key and press the letter V.

Click the “Eject” icon in the devices section within the Finder app (Remember, unless you’ve renamed it, your SYRYN 2 will likely display as “NO NAME”). Ejecting your SYRYN 2 before unplugging will prevent any file corruption.

MAC: Step 6

Disconnect & Test

Once the SYRYN is no longer shown in your devices section of your Finder, unplug the USB cord from the computer.

To test that your music transfer has been successful before going to the pool, plug in a pair of headphones and press PLAY. If you hear music, congrats! You are ready to swim with your SYRYN 2.
