Swimming With Music Can Help You Achieve Your Weight Loss Goals

Hey gang welcome to the 2015! I hope it’s going good so far. Now, I know that with a new year comes new resolutions and goals to achieve.
As always, I am here to help. Now I am a big swimmer so when I’m trying to shed some pounds, the pool is where I go. But after swimming lap, after lap, after lap, after… well you get the idea, I was really burned out and my weight loss goals were suffering.
Silver iPod for Swimming
What I needed was some way to make it more fun as well as help me focus on getting as much as I could from a workout.
The answer: a Waterproof iPod Shuffle from Underwater Audio. So, let me tell you how this little player and listening to music while swimming can help you achieve your weight loss goals.

keep the beat keep the pace

One of the biggest problems that I have as I swim is that I am only great for the first few laps.
My form is good, my speed is fast, and I feel great. Fast forward a few laps and I look like a polar bear swimming backwards.
Not good.
Swimming with music, I use the pace of the songs to create a workout that doesn’t burn me out in the first 5 laps.
Now, I can increase and decrease my pace so that I can maintain my form and get the most out of my workout. This then helps me reach my weight loss goals.
Also, music tricks you. When it is quiet, you tend to slow down. But with “Enter Sandman,” by: Metallica rocking in your ears, it’s hard to slow down!

“I say, peter, bad form !”

Next on the priority list after keeping your pace is keeping your form.
If you flail about and kick all crazy like an 80’s breakdancer, you won’t get the best full body workout that swimming can provide.
With music, you can start to time your strokes and breaths to the beat so that you are getting all you can from the movements -which will help you burn more calories and drop those pounds.

one last thought

Weight Loss 4I would encourage you to go and get a Waterproof iPod Shuffle from Underwater Audio.
These little players let you put on more then enough music for your workout and they are really small and easy to use.
So sweet! As always, if you have any questions or thoughts please leave them in the comment section below.
Swim fast and have fun!
