Remote connect will enable you to log into your apps using your iPhone or Android smartphone. This is extremely useful when you are getting your Delphin ready for the pool for the first time.
With Delphin Remote Connect, you can take full control of your Delphin Waterproof Micro-Tablet wirelessly from your smartphone! Enjoy a painless app setup, and a much more refined typing experience than what is possible on an ultra-compact device like the Delphin.
While it’s true that the Delphin is a 100% independent smart device, typing and navigating on its compact screen can be frustrating for some users. This is especially true when setting up your Delphin for the first time, as many apps require that you log in with your email and password. The Delphin Remote app eliminates small-screen typing frustrations.
To use Remote Connect, your Delphin and your phone must both be connected to the same WiFi network. We recommend being as physically close to your WiFi router as possible. Due to the efficiency of the waterproofing on a Delphin, it does have a shorter WiFi range than other comparable electronic devices.
Once you've downloaded the Delphin Remote app to your phone, connect both the Delphin and your phone to the same WiFi network.
To check which network the Delphin is connected to, or to make any changes, go to the home screen and select Help App (Blue Question Mark) > Open Android Settings > Network > WiFi.
On your Delphin home screen, click on the three white horizontal lines at the bottom of your screen and select Remote Connect. You can also find this by clicking the Blue Question Mark in the bottom left corner to open the Help app, and selecting Remote Connect there. The Remote Connect app will display a QR code on your Delphin's screen.
Open Remote Connect on your Android or iPhone, then scan the code when prompted to connect to your Delphin. The first time you open the Remote Connect app on your phone, it may ask for permission to access your device’s camera to scan the QR code on your Delphin.
After scanning the QR code, the Delphin's home page will be mirrored on your phone's screen, and there will be a list of apps downloaded on the device.
(Tip: Once the Remote Connect app is connected to the Delphin, do not touch the screen or buttons of the Delphin itself, as it may cause the app to disconnect.)
Once your Delphin and phone are connected via Delphin Remote Connect, you can control your Delphin from your smartphone like you would if you were using the Delphin normally.
